Step-by-step to using WebINK on your own posterous.com site

As promised earlier, we've posted detailed instructions for using WebINK web fonts on your own posterous blog. Click the Using WebINK web fonts on posterous link above.

We use the following WebINK fonts on this blog:

These are just four of over a dozen foundries whose fonts are available for use on your website when using WebINK.

WebINK works on Posterous

Posterous offers a very simple method to add WebINK fonts. Simply from your Settings tab click on the big button for Theme and customize my site. Then on the upper left select the Advanced link. Then click the Expand link at the top right to show the HTML and CSS for your blog. Copy and Paste the CSS @font-face code generated from WebINK. Then apply the font-family to the objects you want to use this font. More full details later

WebINK Development Update

Development on WebINK, the new web font service is proceeding fast and furiously. In addition to the release of an updated Technology Preview download last week, we have a few updates to the service that we’d like to share.

Free Free Free!
I’m happy to report that you are free to use WebINK fonts on your site, free of charge until at least the end of July 2010. It’s our way of saying thanks for testing out what WebINK has to offer!

No more non-disclosure
As an existing tester of WebINK, we asked you to keep everything about WebINK under wraps until we were ready to publicly show off the service. As of now, we officially release you from the WebINK non-disclosure agreement. You are now free to say whatever you like about WebINK.

More foundries, more fonts
More and more fonts are coming to WebINK! Every week, new font foundries partner with us to bring additional high-quality fonts to WebINK. We have just partnered with Dalton Maag, P22 and ShinnType, so look for new fonts from these and other foundries in the coming weeks.

Use WebINK online
Last week we started opening access to WebINK through an online interface. Right now, you can preview and play with WebINK fonts online, and soon you’ll also be able to create and manage Type Drawers online.
